Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) Job Specialty: Telemetry Job Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: 07:00 - 19:00, No On-Call Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week Experience: Minimum 1 year required License: Active RN License Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIH Stroke Scale Must-Have: - BLS - ACLS - NIH Stroke Scale Job Description: - Work in a telemetry unit with 34 beds, managing a patient ratio of 1 RN to 5 patients.- Perform cardiac assessments, manage cardiac drips and medications, and assist with post-catheterization procedures, such as ablations, pacemakers, defibrillators, and Watchman devices.- Conduct acute stroke assessments, perform NIH stroke scale assessments, and carry out neuro checks and dysphagia screenings.- Collaborate with a team consisting of a Charge Nurse Coordinator, Registered Nurses, and Patient Care Technicians.- Maintain thorough documentation using Meditech Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system.- Utilize equipment such as GE telemetry monitors, Alaris IV pumps, and feeding pumps.- Required to work 3-4 weekend shifts per schedule block (4 weeks).- Adhere to a dress code requiring navy scrubs.
