IT TECHNICIAN - I Broadbent & Associates, Inc. of Reno, Nevada is looking to hire an organized full-time IT Technician - I to provide basic and intermediate onsite and remote IT technical support to our employees. This entry-level position earns between $20/hour to $25/hour , depending on experience. A DAY IN THE LIFE OF AN IT TECHNICIAN- I This entry level technical support role is expected to be able to resolve the following technical issues: Basic networking troubleshooting related to laptop and desktop connectivity. Workstation operating system issues (Windows 10 and Windows 11). Office and home printer issues. Common business application issues (Office, Teams, OneDrive, Acrobat, etc.). Basic iPhone and Android issues. Additional duties include: Basic network cabling repairs and installation. Basic Active Directory and Microsoft 365 tasks. Perform basic repairs on laptops and desktops. Perform software installs and updates in person and remotely. Some regional travel may be required (less than 5%). Maintain asset inventory. Ensure that the network room is kept clean and in order. Your personal skills are essential as you interact regularly with employees and clients. Though you will spend most of your time resolving technical issues, you will also complete various administrative tasks. Although this is a technical support position, the hiring process will focus heavily on your ability to use logic to solve problems. We are not looking for someone who can memorize test questions and pass certification tests. We are looking for someone who can identify the root cause of a problem as quickly as possible and resolve it. REQUIRED/ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS: A/Network certifications (or comparable work experience) Ability to travel (less than 5%) within the western US if needed. The job interview will consist of three phases - Phone screen Short online assessment of problem solving skills. In-person interview in our Reno office the week of November 4-8. During the in-person interview, you may be asked to troubleshoot very basic technical issues and identify various networking components.
