ECS is looking for a
Windows Systems Administrator , providing support to our national laboratory customer in
Albuquerque, NM .
This Windows System Admin will work on both classified and unclassified machines in a highly secure area. The work will be entirely onsite. The team is comprised of System Admins doing both Windows and Linux work, desktop support techs, Certified Project Managers, Solution Architects and Cyber Security personnel. The team works on completing Mission projects for internal and external government agencies.
Selected applicant will provide both classified and unclassified server support in a physical and virtual Windows based environment. If selected applicant has Linux experience as well, they will be assigned to support RedHat Linux servers. Responsibilities will also include automating tasks using PowerShell, Bash, or Ansible. Candidate will be responsible for networking tasks from machine to wall and should be prepared to troubleshoot network and serve issues independently. Work will take place in a highly secured area.
BS/BA in related field with 2 years' experience or 8 years' job-related experience in lieu of degree2+ years of Windows Server System Administration experience2+ years of SharePoint Server Administration ExperienceFamiliarity with network protocols and network management technologiesSkill utilizing software diagnostic tools and the ability to conduct appropriate troubleshooting processes and conduct appropriate upgradesAbility to understand the application and utilization of software packages, maintain accurate recordsAbility to research, assemble, and evaluate information or data regarding industry practices or applicable regulatory changes and recommend sound, practical solutions to complex issuesAbility to define systems requirements based on user/client needs, cost, and required integration with existing applications, systems, or platformsAbility to define technical standards and functionality tests, and to develop specifications, prototypes, or initial user guidesComputer and network troubleshootingExcellent customer service and communication skills with customers, vendors, and database administratorsAbility to work well in a collaborative team environmentMust be a US Citizen per contractMust be willing to take and pass a Polygraph, if necessaryMust have an active DOE Q Clearance Minimum to start or DoD Top Secret with reciprocity
