Sr Power BI Architect with Oracle ERPDuration 6 months +RemotePosition SummaryWe are seeking a Sr. Power BI Architect with 10+ years of experience in Power BI, data integration, and enterprise reporting. The candidate will lead efforts to enhance our BI infrastructure by connecting Infor Visual ERP, Oracle Fusion, MES, and other systems, providing expertise in architecture, governance, and best practices to deliver actionable insights through scalable dashboards and reports. This is a consulting engagement for 6 months, with the possibility of extension.Key Responsibilities:BI Infrastructure Review: Assess the existing Power BI setup to determine if augmentation or a fresh implementation is required. Evaluate data pipelines, connectivity, and current reporting performance for optimization opportunities.Architecture Planning: Draft detailed physical and logical architecture diagrams integrating multiple systems (ERP, MES, Oracle Fusion, SQL databases). Configure Power BI Data Gateways for secure access to on-prem and hybrid data sources. Develop workspace strategies and naming conventions to manage content efficiently across departments. Implement role-based access controls (RBAC) and row-level security (RLS) for governance and data protection.Integration with ERP and Other Systems: Build data pipelines to extract, transform, and load data from Infor Visual ERP, Oracle Fusion, MES, SQL databases, and spreadsheets. Resolve on-premise integration challenges using ETL/ELT tools, APIs, or custom connectors. Develop dashboards that combine data from ERP, MES, Oracle Fusion, and operational systems to support decision-making.Best Practices & Governance: Establish version control processes for managing BI assets throughout their lifecycle. Define and implement a data governance framework to ensure data accuracy, security, and consistency. Optimize Power BI queries using DAX and Power Query (M) for high-performance and large dataset management.Environment Setup & Security: Stand up a scalable Power BI environment following the approved architecture plan. Enforce RLS, data encryption, and user authentication policies to ensure compliance with security standards. Configure refresh schedules aligned with ERP, Oracle Fusion, and MES system data availability.Knowledge Transfer & Team Mentorship: Deliver training sessions and documentation to empower the current BI team to manage the environment. Mentor the team on advanced data modeling, DAX scripting, and collaboration workflows. Lead the establishment of a Power BI Center of Excellence (CoE) to promote best practices and innovation.Advanced Analytics & Reporting Roadmap: Design and deliver KPI dashboards combining ERP, MES, Oracle Fusion, and financial data for strategic insights. Collaborate with business units to develop a reporting roadmap aligned with organizational goals. Explore and implement predictive analytics capabilities for proactive decision-making.Required Skills & Qualifications:10+ years of experience with Power BI in enterprise environments.Strong proficiency in DAX, Power Query (M), and ETL/ELT tools (e.g., SSIS, Azure Data Factory).Proven expertise in on-premise data integration, including Infor Visual ERP, Oracle Fusion, and MES systems.Extensive experience designing BI architectures with Power BI Gateways and workspaces for hybrid and on-prem environments.Expertise in data modeling, governance frameworks, security (RLS), and version control.Familiarity with SQL databases, APIs, JSON/XML data integration, and Excel automation.Strong understanding of network security, encryption practices, and user authentication within BI environments.Excellent communication and leadership skills with the ability to mentor teams and collaborate with non-technical stakeholders.
