Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare organization, the Licensed Practical Nurse will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to our patients. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering patient-centered care, collaborating with other healthcare professionals, and contributing to a positive and supportive work environment.
Responsibilities:
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians and maintain accurate records.- Monitor patients' vital signs, including temperature, blood pressure, and pulse rate, and report any abnormalities to the healthcare team.
- Assist with specimen collection, processing, and storage.- Utilize aseptic technique to prepare equipment and supplies for patient care.- Maintain accurate and detailed medical records, including patient histories and progress notes.- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans.- Provide teaching and education to patients and their families, promoting healthy habits and lifestyle choices.- Participate in patient rounds and contribute to multidisciplinary care planning.- Demonstrate a commitment to ongoing learning and professional development.
Skills:
- Using electronic medical records systems Point Click Care- Experience in acute care and familiarity with the operations of a teaching hospital.- Strong knowledge of aseptic technique and sterile processing procedures.- Ability to collect and process patient specimens in a safe and efficient manner.- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.- Strong medical documentation skills, with the ability to accurately record patient information and medical history.- Experience with medical records, including maintaining accurate and up-to-date records.- Ability to take and record patients' vital signs, including blood pressure and pulse rate.- Strong teaching skills, with the ability to educate patients and their families on healthy habits and lifestyle choices.
