Material Handler

Job Title: Material HandlerContract Duration: 6 MonthsLocation: Wilsonville, ORJob DescriptionAre you a detail-oriented individual with experience in material handling? Join our team and play a vital role in supporting our operations.Position Summary:As a Material Handler, you will be responsible for the efficient storage, distribution, and orders fulfillment of materials, supplies, and equipment. You will maintain accurate inventory records, transact materials, and troubleshoot issues to ensure smooth operations.Key Responsibilities: Maintain high inventory accuracy by verifying part numbers, revisions, and counts. Accurately transact materials using the ERP system (SAP). Troubleshoot complex issues such as missing materials, inventory discrepancies, and reconciling receiving/shipment discrepancies. Pull materials to meet production, service, and engineering requirements. Coordinate material router transactions for engineering projects, cost centers, scrap, and excess/obsolete inventory. Expedite material movement as needed. Conduct cycle and periodic counting to ensure inventory accuracy. Perform root cause analysis on issues and implement corrective actions. Assist other departments with material analysis using SAP and Excel. Occasionally assist in receiving or shipping activities.Qualifications: Strong computer skills. 1-5 years of experience in a low-volume, high-complexity electronics environment. Knowledge and experience with ERP/MRP programs, preferably SAP. Ability to work independently and collaboratively. Physical ability to lift up to 40 pounds and handle materials weighing up to 225 pounds. Detail-oriented and able to research and resolve complex issues. Adaptability to a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. High level of accuracy in all work performed. Proficiency in browsers, SharePoint, Excel, and Outlook. Familiarity with FedEx, UPS, Freight Forwarders, and Freight companies.
