Unix System Administrator
to work in our
Arlington, Va
office.
- Responsible for Red Hat Enterprise Linux configuration, administration, automation and security compliance. Maintain an awareness of Network infrastructure issues, and monitor Red Hat Linux operating systems that cater to the client's needs within the Networking environment. Resolve user issues, address change management requests, and identify potential issues by implementing protective measures. Perform checks and address configurations in compliance with DISA STIGs to include Apache web server STIG configurations for Satellite 6 server, and SELinux compliance and configuration. Provide troubleshooting and configuration of Red Hat 7 & 8 servers that are virtualized, by way of addressing host-based firewall, and high availability services, and updating of software packages.
- Perform scripting such as python and shell, to more easily automate and complete instructions lists, use troubleshooting procedures and technical information to identify severity of issues and carry out accordingly the resolution process, research issues that do not have a recognized solution and prepare a resolution process. Experience with enforcing STIG restrictions/configurations via Red Hat Satellite/kickstart and/or Ansible.
- Configure, maintain, and support Intermapper network monitoring tool application as well as Intermapper file management, and replication on Windows 2019 server. Provide support for infrastructure monitoring and reporting, reviewing and providing logs and reports from the Intermapper services. Meet 24/7 on-call duties over weekend/holidays as-necessary

- 10+ years of experience in Information Technology with increasing responsibilities in an enterprise server infrastructure focusing on systems engineering and integration in a DoD environment
- 7+ years supporting a large Red Hat environment and extensive server experience
- 5+ years supporting a large VMware environment and extensive virtualization experience
- Red Hat Certified Systems Administrator (RHCSA) or Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE)
- Red Hat Satellite management experience
- Windows application server management experience
- VMware Certified Professional (Datacenter Virtualization)
- Current Security+CE certification/8570 compliant certificate
- Good verbal and written communication skills a must
