We seek a Cloud Architect . This is a new position responsible for architecting and implementing cloud-based solutions that meet Montefiore's needs and requirements, including designing and configuring cloud infrastructure, such as compute, network, storage, and security components. The Cloud Services IT Architect also plays a crucial role in ensuring the security and compliance of cloud environments.

Responsibilities include:

Architect and implement cloud-based solutions that meet Montefiore's needs and requirements based on Montefiore's standards and best-practices.Design and configure cost-effective cloud infrastructure, such as compute, network, storage, and security components.Implement security best practices, ensuring data privacy and managing access controls.Work closely with cybersecurity teams to identify and mitigate potential risks and vulnerabilities.Optimize performance and cost-efficiency by analyzing and optimizing cloud resource utilization, monitoring performance metrics, and recommending improvements to enhance scalability and cost-effectiveness.Collaborate with development and infrastructure teams to design and implement cloud-native applications.Provide technical guidance and support to clients and third-party stakeholders.Ability to report and escalate financial reports on Montefiore's cloud consumption and usage to control costs.Develop and maintain documentation and standards related to cloud infrastructure and solutions.Implement disaster recovery and business continuity plans.Manage cloud service providers and vendors to ensure service level agreements are met.Provide cost and budget estimates for cloud-based solutions and services.Participate in project planning and execution to ensure cloud-based solutions are delivered on time and within budget.Provide training and support to internal staff on cloud-based solutions and services.Help develop and participate in Montefiore's DevSecOps frameworks and support models.Requirements include:

A minimum of 5 years of experience in cloud architecture and design, with a solid background in architecting and implementing cloud-based solutions, as well as a strong understanding of cloud infrastructure, platforms, and services.Previous experience working in complex enterprise environments.Expertise in data privacy, risk management, vulnerability assessments, and incident management.Technical leadership skillsExperience communicating complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences and provide guidance and recommendations on cloud-related matters.Must hold and/or be able to pass security clearance requirements, background investigation, reference, and credentials verification.The position requires advanced knowledge of:

Cloud security best practices, compliance requirements, and data privacy regulationsAnalysis and optimization of cloud resource utilization, monitoring performance metrics, and recommending improvements to enhance scalability and cost-effectiveness.Capabilities and services offered by cloud service providers (including healthcare specific cloud solutions), and knowledge of the features, limitations, and pricing models of different cloud service providers.Migration of on-premise systems to the cloud and integrating cloud-based solutions with existing IT infrastructureCompliance and risk management, including security, privacy, and regulatory requirements, and ability to assess and manage risks associated with cloud environments.Cloud-native application development, DevOps practices, and continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD) pipelinesCloud networking concepts, virtual private networks (VPNs), firewalls, and other security measures to ensure the secure and reliable communication between cloud resources.Cloud compliance frameworks and standards, such as HIPAA, PCI DSS, and GDPR, and ability to ensure that cloud environments meet these requirements.Knowledge of various healthcare related code sets such as CPT-4, ICD-9/10, LOINC, SNOMED.Preferred:
