As a leader in childrens health, we engage in meaningful programs and partnerships throughout the region so that we can improve the lives of children beyond the walls of our hospital.Overview:Serves in a management capacity with oversight and responsibilities that ensure the efficient and effective daily operations/service and ongoing organizational development of the Children's Hospital Neonatal Database (CHND) Children's Hospital Neonatal Consortium (CHNC) and Vermont Oxford Network (VON) database initiatives. Provides support, oversight and participates in data abstraction ensuring timely, effective and efficient data retrieval. Manages quality improvement and research efforts related to the CHND and CHNC initiatives. Utilize quality improvement activities/monitoring and research to promote integration of standards and processes developed with CHND and CHNC.At Childrens Mercy, we are committed to ensuring that everyone feels welcomed within our walls. If you and have any concerns about receiving these vaccines, medical and/or religious exemptions can be further discussed with Human Resources.Responsibilities:Conduct and provide oversight for data abstraction, database queries, interpretation and reporting for both VON and CHND.Educates Physicians, Nurse Practitioners, Clinical Nurse Specialists, Nurses and Administrative Assistants and others who may assist with in data abstraction and retrieval for the CHND database.Develops and initiates strategies to utilize data in national and local quality improvement activitiesDevelop tools and reports to be used within the electronic healthcare record for efficient data retrieval and to promote automated data abstraction.Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree BSN and 3-5 years nursing experience required. Neonatal/Pediatric experience preferredMaster's Degree (Preferred)One of the following: Licensed RN - MO, Registered Nurse Multistate License Missouri required upon hireOne of the following: Licensed RN - Kansas, Registered Nurse Multistate License Kansas, RN Compact license for all states besides KS and MO required upon hireCurrent Professional License in Kansas and Missouri or Required Upon HireRNs who reside in Kansas hold a Kansas Multi-State (Compact) License if RN andRNs who reside in Missouri hold a Missouri Multi-State (Compact) License If RN Required Upon HireRefer to Nursing and Advanced Practice Provider Licensure and Certification policy for required Life Support Certifications Required Upon Hire

Starting Pay:Our pay ranges are market competitive. The pay range for this job begins at $29.54/hr, but your offer will be determined based on your education and experience.Remote Work/Work from Home:This is an intermittent remote position, which means that the person hired will work with his or her manager to determine a schedule that includes both at home and on-site hours at a Childrens Mercy location.
