We are looking for an experienced, ambitious Staff Accountant to fulfill a dual role for our company that combines Accounting and

Financial Planning and Analysis.

We are seeking an individual with an Accounting degree or CPA with strong analytical capabilities, proven operating capacity in a complex environment and a desire to eventually land in a senior leadership role at a larger company.The core responsibilities of the role will be accounting-related, with a focus on more complex tasks that require a pre-existing knowledge of GAAP accounting, accounting and financial reporting technology and an ability to roll up your sleeves and adapt quickly. This component of this position is not learn-on-the-job: you must display a strong knowledge of accounting principles and experience managing complex accounting to be considered for the role. You will work above the Company’s floating bookkeeping staff and below the Controller.In addition, you will be asked to assume ownership of a series of Financial Planning & Analysis reports at the direction of Company leadership. This reporting requires strong financial modeling skills, an ability to think systematically about data flows and architectures and a desire to drive real change at the organization. Your ability to own this workstream, while managing the accounting responsibilities, will be the key driver of your growth at the Company.QUALIFICATIONSRequired ExperienceAccounting degree preferred7-10 years of accounting experience, with a preference for leadership experienceExperience in an FP&A-type role, creating reporting and dashboards that drove company performanceAttention to detail, ability to create process where there is none, and analyticalProven knowledge of accounting principles (GAAP), job costing and cost control measuresInterest and understanding of various software, apps and technology that drive efficienciesExcellent financial modeling skillsRESPONSIBILITIES | ACCOUNTINGThe job responsibilities of our Staff Accountant related to Accounting include, but are not limited to:Daily soft bank reconciliations and general ledger entriesRecurring journal entries and associated work papers and data such as accrued revenue, payroll entries, inter-company transactions and prepaid expensesTracking and invoicing of pass-through expensesIn-house expert on the Accounting team’s technology and ownership of syncs between data systems (QuickBooks, Expensify, Bill.com)RESPONSIBILITIES | FINANCIAL PLANNING & ANALYSISThe job responsibilities of our Staff Accountant related to FP&A include, but are not limited to:Prepare reports and analysis at the direction of the Company’s C-Suite, including project-level Estimates vs. Actuals, monthly budget vs. actuals, overhead expense analysis and employee KPI reportsLeverage knowledge gained through reporting to improve processes, data management and technologySuccess in this role will be measured byTimeliness and accuracy of Accounting entriesAbility to build, maintain and communicate process effectively to leadershipDesire to drive forward internal reporting cadence and qualityWhat we offer:Highly competitive base salary (Note: some positions may include a bonus structure)Paid time off; medical/dental/vision benefits; short & long-term disability options; retirement matching after 1 year; amazing office/amenities including complimentary on-site private-use gym; free electric car charging; full working kitchen; and a dog-friendly workspace!Check us out on social here and here!
