JOB SUMMARY
:
Responsible for participating in the setup and configuration of servers and network devices; monitoring system performance; maintaining user accounts in Active Directory and other systems; managing user permissions and access rights; implementing and monitoring cyber security systems; providing tier two help desk support; and installing, configuring and maintaining desktop and laptop computers.
RESPONSIBILITIES/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Participate in the setup and configuration of servers and network devices; monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues as they arise; support the implementation of associated IT projects and initiatives; collaborate with senior systems administrators as required. Create, modify and delete user accounts in Active Directory and other systems; manage user permissions and access rights to ensure data security; reset user passwords and account lockouts; monitor and maintain user account activity and compliance. Work with third party MSSP to implement and monitor cyber security systems; analyze and respond to cybersecurity threats, vulnerabilities, and events. Provide tier two help desk support to end-users by providing desk-side and remote support; assist users with operating system, application, and connectivity problems; provide backup support for the help desk as needed; document and track support requests utilizing ticketing system; troubleshoot and resolve PC hardware, software and network issues; perform hardware repairs and software upgrades as needed. Install, configure and maintain desktop and laptop computers; ensure antivirus and security software are up-to-date and functioning properly; perform regular system updates, patches and backups; diagnose and repair hardware failures, including replacing components as needed. Perform related responsibilities as required or assigned.
