The
Corporate Accountant
supports the home office Corporate VP, Accounting to manage home office processes.
Responsibilities and Duties:Experience with M3 is a plusMonth-End and Year-End Close: Perform month-end and year-end closing processes (record journal entries, including intercompany transactions, etc).Account Reconciliation: reconcile bank accounts and general ledger accountsFinancial Reporting: prepare accurate financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statementsLender Reporting: Prepare quarterly lender reporting requirements.Audit Support: Assist with external auditsOwnership Reporting: Prepare monthly and ad-hoc reporting to ownershipExpense Management: Submit wires and check requests to ensure timely payment of corporate expendituresQualifications:
Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance2-5 years of accounting experience in a corporate or public accounting settingAttention to Detail: Strong attention to detail and ability to identify and resolve discrepancies in financial dataProblem-Solving Abilities: Ability to identify process inefficiencies and propose solutionsAnalytical Skills: Proficiency in performing variance analysis and explaining budget vs actual variancesKnowledge of GAAP: Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and financial reportingERP and Accounting Software: Proficiency with accounting softwareTime Management: Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.Team Collaboration: Strong verbal and written communication skills and ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.Self-starter with excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skillsProficiency in Microsoft Office and most particularly Excel advanced skills required
