The Senior Accountant will report to the Controller and will play a key role in ensuring accurate financial reporting, compliance with regulations and developing the financial operations of the organization. This position involves the monthly closing of the financial statements, maintaining internal controls, reconciling general ledger accounts, and contributing to the yearly external audit process. The Senior Accountant will also work closely with other departments to provide financial insights and ensure that company goals are met efficiently.

Financial Reporting and General Ledger Management:•Assist in month-end and year-end closing processes- own and maintain the general ledger reconciliations and work directly with the bookkeepers on ongoing and month end transactions, to ensure timely and accurate month end close.•Prepare and review financial statements, balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports, while ensuring accuracy and completeness of financial data in compliance with accounting standards (GAAP, IFRS).•Evaluate and improve financial processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy.

Audit & Compliance:•Prepare for internal and external audits, ensuring documentation and schedules are accurate, complete and in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.•Maintain strong internal controls and recommend process improvements.•Assist in the preparation of tax filings (e.g., sales tax, corporate tax) and ensure compliance with all tax laws. collaborate with external tax advisors when necessary.

Systems implementation and maintenance:Assist in the implementation and enhancement of accounting systems and software, including NetSuite.

Data Analysis and Process Improvements:•Prepare monthly payments reconciliation.•Work closely with the engineering team to improve reporting capabilities.

Ad-hoc Reporting and Analysis:•Provide financial analysis and recommendations for special projects and business decisions.•Support management with ad-hoc financial reports and data analysis as needed.

Requirements•Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA or equivalent certification preferred).•5+ years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a public accounting firm.•Strong knowledge of accounting principles and regulations under US GAAP.•Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NeuSuite) and advanced Excel skills.•Excellent analytical, attention to details, problem-solving, and communication skills.•Ability to work independently and in a team environment, managing multiple deadlines. Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks.•Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
