SUMMARY DESCRIPTION:The Accounting Manager is responsible for overseeing all customer commercial invoicing and accounts payable for Bayou Vista and Houston. This person is also responsible for reconciling accounts and conducting project audits. This position is located on-site in our Bayou Vista, LA office and reports to the Controller.CLASSIFICATION: Non-Exempt (hourly)DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Oversees preparation of invoices for all clients. This includes entering client invoices into their own web portals.Performs General Ledger account reconciliations and related schedules.Sets up new projects, project budgets, and employees in Dynamics. Sets up new projects in DOT and updates them as needed.Maintains and reviews accounts to ensure proper invoicing or accruals as needed.Audits and processes all expense reports comprising both paper copies of expense reports and online expense reporting using SAP Concur.Exports online expense reports to the payroll coordinator, prepares journal entries for all SAP Concur expense reports and enters the reports into Dynamics.Processes employee receivable accounts.Performs state and local sales tax reconciliation.Prepares monthly reports for Gulf Coast Managers.Prepares property tax forms for tax assessors for the Gulf Coast Division.Interacts with Clients and Project Managers to resolve billing and collection issues.Promotes and ensures compliance with Phoenix's safety programs and Phoenix's quality management system (QMS), and cognizant company policies, processes, and procedures.Provides support to accounting staff in all areas as needed.Keys in Dive logs.Performs other duties and special projects as assigned.JOB REQUIREMENTS:Bachelor's degree in accounting or business or 5 - 7 years of equivalent experience.Understanding of all aspects of project accounting, from purchasing through invoicing.Computer skills with competence in Microsoft Office Suite, MS Outlook, Adobe Acrobat, and Mozilla Firefox.Excellent organization and communication (written and verbal) skills and the ability to meet critical deadlines and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.Strong attention to detail.Problem-solving and creative thinking are a plus.Ability to travel when needed.Ability to pass a pre-employment drug/alcohol screen and background check, as required.Phoenix International Holdings, Inc,
