As a Project Accountant, you will serve as an essential part of the Project Team, managing all aspects of job-related accounting activities. The Project Accountant works closely with the Project Manager to ensure timely and accurate reporting, payments, billing and administration is complete. It is a must that you have a construction background. salary: $30 - $34 per hourshift: Firstwork hours: 8 AM - 5 PMeducation: High School
Responsibilities
Maintenance of complete and accurate records of project financial transactions from startup through closeout.Project set up and review of customer contracts to verify key requirements.Full Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable processing, including data entry and administrative duties.Processing and tracking credit card receipts, equipment, lien waivers, NTO's,subcontractor AIA billings, subcontractor invoices, and overhead invoices.Processing and tracking of Certificate of Insurance (COI)'s and Vendor Applications.Review subcontracts, purchase orders, customer and subcontractor change orders to ensure accurate posting.Ensure subcontractors, suppliers, and vendors account balances in the company's accounting/project management software are always correct and reconciled.Act as liaison between subcontractors and project teams, responding to subcontractor accounting inquiries and diffusing any issues with assistance of the Project Managers.Prepare Accounts Receivable billings for customers - AIA format, Lump Sum format, and Time & Material (T&M) format.Responsible for timely tracking of customer funding with Project Managers, and for accurate and on-time payment of subcontractors, suppliers and vendors invoices.
