Backed by BlackRock’s Diversified Infrastructure business, Jupiter Power has a strategic and established portfolio of 787.5/1375 of utility-scale energy storage projects operating or in construction in the U.S., with a leading pipeline of over 11,000 MW in active development.Jupiter Power is looking to grow its financial operations team with the addition of a Project Accountant.
The Project Accountant will report to the Assistant Controller and will be the primary liaison between Accounting and the Development, Construction, and Operations teams and will manage the responsibilities set forth below.ResponsibilitiesResponsible for development project level accounting tasks, including but not limited to processing invoices, comparing them to Work Orders or POs, obtaining proper approvals for transactions, and managing the invoice payment process.Collaborate with Accounts Payable, Development, Construction, Operations, and Procurement departments to ensure accurate recording of costs and cost allocations to projects across a multi-entity organization.Assist with monthly and quarterly project cost reconciliationsPrepare internal and external project-level reportingAssist accounting team with month-end close functions.Assist with the financial audits and provide recommendations for procedural improvements to ensure accounting procedures and reporting conform to generally accepted accounting principles.Assist in the preparation of quarterly and annual budgets and reforecastsOversee implementation and operation of a purchase order system to track development spendingAssist in preparation for the annual tax returns.Perform other ad hoc duties as requested.

Familiarity with Accrualify, Expensify, Corpay, and/or Sage Intacct or similar platforms is preferredExperience working on multiple projects/developments simultaneouslyAbility to adhere to monthly, quarterly and annual department driven deadlinesStrong organizational and interpersonal skills – able to work effectively in a team environment and being attentive to timelinesConfidentiality and integrityUnafraid to take ownership and initiative in order to be to be effective within a highly motivated, fast moving team.RequirementsDegree in accounting or business administration, or equivalent business experience demonstrating an understanding of accounting practices and procedures.2-4 years of general accounting or financial planning and analysis experienceStrong computer skills with proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and OutlookPhysical Requirements and EnvironmentThis role is office-based with limited travel required.
Candidates must be willing and able to work in a Jupiter Power office a minimum of three days per week.
Candidates will be required to sit or stand for extended periods of time and must be able to lift up to ten pounds repetitively.Candidates will be required to pass a pre-employment background investigation and may be subject to drug tests as a condition of employment.BenefitsCompensation and benefits offered will be commensurate with the experience and qualifications of the candidate.
