About Us

Chinese Mutual Aid Association (CMAA) is a community-based 501(c)3 nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting Chicagoland's diverse immigrant and refugee communities. Established in 1981, CMAA is a cornerstone of the "Asia on Argyle" corridor of the Uptown Neighborhood of Chicago with a satellite office in Elgin, IL, providing programs to serve our community across generations. We offer after-school, summer camp, and mentoring programs for young people. For adults, we provide case management and social services, education including English as a Second Language (ESL) classes, job preparation and placement services, and immigration and citizenship case assistance. We connect older adults to in-home care support and community enrichment through our Golden Age Club. Finally, we support entrepreneurs and small businesses as the only AAPI-led Small Business Development Center in Illinois.

Job Description

Chinese Mutual Aid Association (CMAA) is seeking a mission-driven and detail-oriented Coordinator of Scheduling who reports directly to the Assistant Manager of Scheduling Systems and Payroll of the Elderly Care Department. This position is expected to complete a comprehensive intake with new or returning CMAA clients in order to holistically determine clients' needs; create a client service plan, and streamline case management services and referrals for the agency.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities

Under the supervision of the Assistant Manager of Scheduling Systems and Payroll of Elderly Care department, the Coordinator of Scheduling will:

Oversees supervision of home care aides and In-Home Services clientsMaintains records of home care aide permanent and temporary schedules in Electronic Visit Verification SoftwareCommunicate with home care aides and clients on matters pertaining to scheduling service hoursCommunicate with home care aides and clients on case management issuesMonitor home care aide Electronic Visit Verification recordsCommunicate with external case managers from Care Coordination Units and Managed Care Organizations on matters pertaining to In-Home Services clients.Facilitate meetings between newly assigned home care aides and clientsFacilitate In-Service training sessions with home care aides on a quarterly basisAssist new clients with applications to the Illinois Department on Aging Community Care ProgramAssist in translations for home care aides and clients as neededCoordinate monthly Golden Age Club activitiesRequirements

Bachelor's DegreeIllinois Department on Aging Home Care Supervisor CertificationBilingual preferred in Cantonese/Mandarin and English while other dialects is a plusWork Environment

This job operates in a clerical, office setting. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines.Physical Demands

This is a largely sedentary role, however, some filing is required. This could require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets, and bend or stand on a stool as necessary.Perks
