Primary Function

Join our dynamic team as a Sr. Media Technician - A1 and play a crucial role in delivering seamless audio and video experiences for a variety of events, including high-profile meetings, conferences, and corporate broadcasts. This position demands a blend of technical expertise, hands-on problem-solving skills, and exceptional customer service. You will be responsible for ensuring flawless audio production quality across live and studio environments, while also supporting and training end-users on broadcast audio systems.PAY TRANSPARENCYRange: $52/hr. - $57/hr.

Duties & Responsibilities

Deliver expert support across pre-production, live production, and post-production phases for meetings, conferences, classes, and corporate broadcasts, ensuring a flawless execution of all technical elementsProvide guidance and training to users on the operation of advanced broadcast audio systems, enhancing their understanding and efficiencyInteract daily with staff, faculty, and guests, taking on additional "A2" responsibilities as needed to ensure smooth operation.Manage and operate production equipment in both live broadcast environments (e.g., audio consoles, encoders, AV playout systems) and studio settings (e.g., audio consoles, field recorders)Adapt to various roles as required, including grip, stagehand, or PA, to meet production needs and support seamless event executionAssist with setup, testing, and maintenance of both live and studio equipment, ensuring all gear is fully operational and ready for useSupport inventory management and maintain accurate documentation of equipment and workflows. Handle administrative tasks as requiredTravel to other Bay Area offices approximately twice a monthRegularly test and ensure the daily functionality of AV and integrated conference room systems. Perform routine diagnostics and problem resolution for projectors, microphones, speakers, amplifiers, and displaysConduct preventative maintenance to address issues and liaise with vendors or manufacturers for resolutionAddress last-minute and non-critical AV/VC issues promptly, ensuring minimal disruption to events and meetingsAssist with company meetings and functions that utilize AV infrastructure, including audio, video conferencing, webcasting, visual displays, and control systemsRespond to end-user requests via the Customer Help Desk ticketing system and coordinate with client staff to determine AV requirements for new conference rooms or media setupsProvide high-level AV support to senior executive staff, ensuring a professional and seamless experience during critical meetings and presentationsDemonstrate expertise in troubleshooting audio conferencing and integrated AV technologies, particularly within large enterprise environmentsPREFERRED EQUIPMENT EXPERIENCE (or equivalent)Audio Consoles: Yamaha QL5, QL1, CL5Field Recorders: Audio - Zoom H4, H6Control Systems: CrestronSkills & Qualifications

An overall understanding of the live program production process is necessary and a strong sense of urgency in solving customer requests to ensure timely resolution is criticalProven expertise in operating and maintaining broadcast audio systems, including audio consoles, field recorders, and related equipmentAbility to quickly identify and implement solutions in challenging situations, maintaining composure and effectiveness; Proactive approach to troubleshooting and resolving technical issuesStrong understanding of both macro and micro aspects of signal flow in live and studio production settingsThrive in high-pressure environments, displaying organizational skills and attention to detailExcellent verbal and written communication skills, with a courteous and professional attitude towards clients and colleaguesOpen to receiving and delivering constructive feedback, with a proactive approach to seeking opportunities for personal and professional growthEnsures high-quality, flawless execution in every aspect of technical productionStrong understanding of video and audio production equipment, workflows, and emerging technologiesCandidate must have a commitment to excellence in audio, acoustics, and/or sound designEducation & Experience

5+ years of hands-on experience in live production and/or studio production environments, demonstrating a strong background in operating advanced audio and video production equipment1+ year of experience in post-production tasks, including editing, graphics creation, and audio mixing using industry-standard software (e.g., Adobe Premiere, Pro Tools)Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field such as Music and Audio Production, Broadcast Technology, Communications, or a related discipline is preferredCertified Technology Specialist (CTS) certification is preferred
