TITLE: Cloud Systems Administrator CLIENT: Energy LOCATION: Houston Texas TYPE: Contract - Long term, open ended, multi year RATE: DOE URGENCY: Reviewing Resumes Now SUMMARY: The Enterprise Cloud Systems Administrator will manage computer software systems with a primary focus on Cornerstone LMS to ensure high levels of availability, functionality, and security for the company's Operating Units. This role will support application maintenance, assist in implementing policies to ensure efficient system use, and act as a liaison between corporate application teams and Operating Units' IT teams. Additionally, experience with Firstup and ApprentiScope is preferred. DUTIES: Administer Cornerstone LMS, Firstup, and ApprentiScope, including user setup, troubleshooting, and ensuring optimal performance. Manage and maintain security roles within applications, ensuring proper role assignments at both user and group levels for effective access control and compliance. Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve software issues; escalate to vendors as necessary. Support LMS integrations and upgrades, ensuring compatibility and smooth implementation. Develop and maintain system administration policies, procedures, and training materials. Monitor system performance, analyze data, and provide insights for continuous improvement. Conduct Cornerstone LMS application testing and assist with monthly operating system patch cycles. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support system-wide enhancements and align with business objectives. Open and manage tickets in ServiceNow, including managing assigned tickets to resolution. Analyze system performance and create reports based on business user needs. Participate in planning and budgeting to ensure systems are maintained for performance, security, compliance, and vendor support. Adhere to internal standards, policies, and procedures. Perform other duties as assigned by the manager. REQUIREMENTS: Working knowledge of networks, database and IT security components. Working technical knowledge of network, PC, and platform operating systems. Working technical knowledge of current systems software and standards. Hands-on software troubleshooting experience, including customer support. Experience documenting and maintaining configuration and process information. Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities. Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment. Strong interpersonal and oral communication skills. Adept at reading, writing, and interpreting technical documentation and procedure manuals. Ability to conduct research into hardware and software issues and products as required. Ability to present ideas and solutions in a user-friendly language. Highly self-motivated and directed. Keen attention to detail. Willingness to work non-traditional hours occasionally as needed. Thrives working within a team-oriented, collaborative environment. PREFERRED: Experience with LMS integrations and upgrades. Experience with Firstup and ApprentiScope. Knowledge of ITIL best practices for IT service management. Experience with database management and reporting tools. Background in project management or experience participating in cross-functional teams. Bachelor's degree in MIS or a related discipline, or 5 years of experience as a System Administrator. 2 years of experience with Cornerstone LMS. EDUCATION: Bachelor's or Associates degree
