FusionHCR is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented PC Technician to join our client's IT support team onsite in
CARSON CITY, NV . The PC Technician will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting computer hardware, software, and peripherals. This role requires a strong understanding of computer systems, network connectivity, and excellent problem-solving skills.
The ideal candidate is proactive, customer-focused, and able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Hardware Support:Install, configure, and maintain desktop and laptop computers.Perform hardware upgrades, including RAM, hard drives, and other components.Diagnose and repair hardware failures or malfunctions.Manage and maintain printers, scanners, and other peripheral devices.
Software Support:Install, configure, and update operating systems, software applications, and drivers.Troubleshoot and resolve software-related issues, including system crashes, application errors, and virus/malware infections.Provide support for software installations and configurations, including Microsoft Office Suite, antivirus software, and other business applications.
Network Support:Set up and maintain wired and wireless network connections for workstations.Troubleshoot and resolve network connectivity issues.Assist with network configuration, including IP addressing, DNS, and DHCP settings.Collaborate with network administrators to ensure proper network function.
User Support:Provide technical support to end-users via phone, email, or in person.Educate and train users on best practices and new technologies.Document support requests, solutions, and follow-up actions in the help desk system.
Qualifications:
Education:High school diploma or equivalent; an associate degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field is preferred.Relevant certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+ or Microsoft Certified IT Professional (MCITP) are highly desirable.
Experience:Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in a PC technician or similar technical support role.Strong knowledge of Windows and/or macOS operating systems.Experience with hardware troubleshooting and repair.Familiarity with networking concepts and basic network troubleshooting.
Skills:Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.Strong customer service and communication abilities.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Attention to detail and ability to multitask in a self-directed environment.Ability to lift and move computer equipment as needed.
Work Environment:
Office environment with minimal travel to different locations.Regular use of standard office equipment such as computers, phones, and printers.Some lifting and moving of IT equipment may be required.
