Full-time, Direct Hire, OnsiteLHH has partnered with a reputable law firm to fill their Legal Secretary in their Century City, Los Angeles, CA office. Our client is seeking an experienced Legal Secretary interested in a full-time, permanent job opportunity in Los Angeles, CA. You will be responsible for assisting multiple attorneys at different levels with drafting, formatting, and proofreading legal documents and correspondence; heavy filing and e-filing in state and federal court; calendar management and docketing; and other tasks as assigned. The ideal candidate will have at least three years of litigation defense experience.Responsibilities:
•
Responsible for drafting, formatting, and proofreading correspondence and legal documents, including forms, pleadings, briefs, and memorandums
•
Engage in electronic filing (e-filing) for both state and federal courts
•
Responsible for preparing letters, labels, envelopes, work reports, bills, travel expenses reports and other reports
•
Maintain and manage attorneys\u2019 calendars and schedule meeting/travel arrangements
•
Serve as the primary point of contact. Make, screen and route calls. Answer client questions relevant to the admin side of cases. Schedule and conference call appointments
•
Assist with client outreach and business development
•
Maintain, create, and manage legal files and recordsQualifications:
•
3+ years of litigation secretary experience
•
State and Federal Filing Experience
•
Proficient in MS Office Suite
•
Effective communication, both orally and written, with all levels of firm personnel
•
Must be able to take initiative and be a self-starter
•
Must be able to work independently and in a team setting
•
Solid organizational and time management skills with high attention to detail
•
Experienced in discovery/eDiscovery processesPay Details:
$75,000.00 to $95,000.00 per year
