Our client is currently seeking a

Network Technician

to join their team for a

remote

position.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Patch and update hardware, operating systems, and applications to ensure security compliance requirements are metResearch detected vulnerabilities before applying mitigations and / or hotfixesManage and maintain network security monitoring toolsImplement and enforce security best practices on endpoints within the infrastructureSupport the cybersecurity team with identifying and investigating security threats in the networkProvide assistance with security audits and compliance reviews in collaboration with the cybersecurity teamInvestigate and resolve tickets / cases escalated from the cybersecurity team regarding infrastructure security topicsInteract with Service Desk and other teams, providing support on cloud-related inquiriesDocument processes and procedures for future referencesPerform other duties as assigned

Skills and Responsibilities:

Associate or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information technology, Systems Administration, or similar majorsA+, Security +, Network + or GFACT certificationsCCNA or equivalent certificationMinimum 5+ years of experience in infrastructure administration including Active Directory, Microsoft Windows Server, Microsoft SQL Server, Google Apps, with some familiarity in managing legacy systemsExpertise in medium to large enterprise systems infrastructureFamiliarity with various modern operating systems and platforms (Microsoft Windows, GNU / Linux, Chrome OS, IOS, Android, etc.)Proven experience and working knowledge with virtual machines, networking technologies (switches, routers, firewalls, Wi-Fi, VOIP and VPN) and server componentsGood knowledge of the AWS Cloud PlatformExcellent communication skills and good team spiritDynamic, flexible, and customer orientedHave an exceptional analytical mind, be conscientious, and methodicalBe autonomous, responsible, and organized and show initiativeDemonstrate a high aptitude for problem solvingMust have superb priority management skills and demonstrate the ability to work on several projects simultaneouslyUnderstanding of the CIA triad (Confidentiality, Integrity, Availability) and Information Security preferredExperience working with security teams like Security Operations and Incident Response to ensure operational security preferredExperience with scripting and automation tools preferredExperience with Engineering applications preferred
