This is a remote, work from home opportunity and you may be based outside of the greater Chicagoland area.In this role, and under general direction, the Epic Hospital Billing Applications Analyst formulates and defines systems' scope and objectives based on both user needs, and a good understanding of applicable business systems and industry requirements.Essential Job FunctionsProvides technical guidance on complex projectsDocument requirements in business requirement documentation standard formatRecommends technology to solve complex business problemsDevelop new or revise existing (problematic) system logic or configurationTeam leader for projects with moderate budgets, mentors less experienced Business Application AnalystsRequired QualificationsBachelors degree or equivalent relevant certification in healthcare, business management or information systemsEpic Resolute Hospital Billing certificationExperience managing integrated 3rd party systems with EpicMust have a solid grounding in information systems, understanding not only general strategy drivers, but also detailed industry-specific issues, as well as the linkage between user needs and system enablersDemonstrated expertise within a specialized area of information systems software implementationAbility to prioritize, organize, and assess work to meet deadlines and to cope in a fast-paced environmentCapable of working well in a diverse, multi-disciplinary team and successfully interacting with others at all levels of the organization, including remote teamsProven ability to manage multiple requests, tasks, and requirementsProven skills in problem solvingExperience in business process mappingExperience defining requirements and software development methodologiesAbility to correlate between business, functional, and technical requirementsStrong functional IT, general management consulting, and business backgroundSolid interpersonal, written and oral communication skills, and effective presentation skillsExperience developing presentations for project workAbility to plan and facilitate meetings with diverse participantsAbility to maintain a professional attitude and demeanor in both normal and pressure situationsMinimum 10 years experience with information system software solutionsPreferred QualificationsEpic Home Health Billing certificationEpic Hospice Billing certificationEpic Real-Time Eligibility (RTE) certificationPosition DetailsJob Type / FTE: Full Time (1.0 FTE)Shift: DaysLocation: RemoteUnit/Department: IT Clinical Applications Hyde ParkCBA Code: Non-UnionMust comply with UCMCs COVID-19 Vaccination requirement as a condition of employment.
