Requirements:

Must have a strong understanding of design and architecture of complex VMware environments, which includes VMware vSphere, vCenter Server, NSX, VRA, VRops and VMware ESXi hosts.Plan and implement VMware Distributed Resource Scheduler (DRS) and VMware High Availability (HA) configurations using Site Recovery Manager(SRM) to maximize uptime and resource efficiency.Design and manage VMware vSAN (Virtual SAN) for scalable and high-performance storage solutions.Deploy and configure VMware vSphere, including setting up ESXi hosts, creating and managing virtual machines, configuring vSAN and configuring virtual networks including vSphere Distributed switch(vds).Implement and manage VMware NSX for network virtualization and micro-segmentation, multi-tenancy ensuring secure and efficient network management.Exposure to VMWare Tanzu based containerization.Exposure to other virtualization environments like Hyper-V and Nutanix.Exposure to storage technologies like SCSI, iSCSI, EMC, VxRail management, Network technologies including pass through configuration.Monitor VMware performance using tools such as VMware vRealize Operations Manager (vROps) to analyze performance metrics and optimize resource allocation.Identify and drive closed loop automation.Managing VMWare lifecycle management including VMware Tools and VM Hardware upgrades to ensure compatibility and enhance virtual machine performance.Exposure to backup of VMWare using tools like Cohesity and NetBackup.Exposure to managing large VMWare environments spread globally with high performance requirements.Good knowledge of ITIL practice.Responsibilities:

Architecture & Design:

Develop and implement VMware vSphere, vCenter, NSX and ESXi solutions. Design high-availability and storage solutions using VMware vSAN.Deployment & Management:

Deploy VMware environments, including ESXi hosts and virtual networks. Manage VMware NSX for network virtualization and VMware Horizon for VDI.Optimization:

Monitor and optimize VMware performance using vRealize Operations.Backup & Recovery:

Implement backup strategies and disaster recovery solutions using tools like NetBackup and VMware SRM.Automation:

Use VROPs for task automation and implement Infrastructure as Code practices.Security:

Configure security features and ensure compliance with industry regulations.Support:

Troubleshoot and resolve complex VMware issues. Maintain SOP documentation, KEDB, Capacity plan and performance reports. Review and provide feedback to change records. Participate in identification of problem and propose and implement remediation of the same.
