InfintiumFuel Cell Systems, Inc. is developing next generation small and medium fuelcell systems in the upstate South Carolina area. We are currently looking for aSoftware Validation Engineer who will actively collaborate with othersystem/process owners during all project phases, including requirementsgathering, design, and validation, to deliver robust application software thatmeets all defined objectives. As a broad systems expert, the best candidate forthis position will be able to apply their sound fundamental understanding of embeddedsoftware, windows applications, and IOT systems in support of new-product andcontinuous-improvement projects. The Software Validation Engineer is alsoresponsible for supporting product documentation that clearly communicatesoperational procedures, expected system outputs and troubleshooting/diagnosticsmethods.
As we are a fast-moving,small team, the candidate must be capable of setting and meeting goalsreliably, with limited oversight. Whilethe system hardware and software development environments are currently inplace, the candidate will have the opportunity to guide future improvements inthe system and ultimately has a significant influence on the company'sprofitability.
The company's facility is located in the Greer, SC area nearthe GSP airport.
This role at Infintium is expected to:
Embedded Software Validation
o Setupsystems and documentation to support control software validation
o Executeand support test algorithms to ensure high quality software design
o Supportproduct validation with respect to software functionality•WindowsApplication Validation
o Assistdevelopers in software design for testing
o Developand execute test plans for multiple windows applications used to support fieldoperations
o Helpdrive software direction and functionality to improve user experience•IOTSystem Validation
o Developand execute test plans for embedded IOT applications
o Developand execute test plans for IOT infrastructure
o Supportthe launch of new IOT platforms and products•Developdocumentation standards for software validation and verification•Supportenterprise decisions surrounding product traceability and toolchains•Workindependently to manage timing, priority, and deliverables in a fast pacedenvironment•Workinside multiple development teams and programs to understand the technologybeing developed•Assistdesign and requirements development
o FMEAparticipation
o HAZOPanalysis
o Safety Studies
The applicant for this position must meet these requisites:•B.S. in a STEM major(Mechanical/Electrical/Chemical Engineer preferred) with 3-5 years ofapplication validation experience in high-reliability systems, such as thosefound in automotive/industrial/aerospace sectors•Abilityto scope work and estimate required effort - time management skills•Interpersonalskills - customer interaction and effective small team member•Desire / ability to work independently in ahands on environment
In addition, the ideal applicant also would meet thefollowing:•MS in Engineering discipline with emphasis inControls•Mechatronics experience•Experience / Interest in battery technology andgreen energy technologies
