Senior Business Systems Analyst , you will collect, analyze, and interpret large sets of data to provide valuable insights and support data-driven decision-making within the organization. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and align data analysis efforts with organizational goals. You will be responsible for translating complex data into understandable and actionable information, enabling stakeholders to make informed business decisions.
Requirements:
3-7 years of experience in IT project management, product delivery, or a similar business analytics role.Working knowledge or experience with the following:
Project Management: (Agile/SCRUM, PMP, etc.)Data visualization tools: Tableau, Power BI (preferred), QlikData manipulation, analysis, and visualization using tools: SQL, Python, RStatistical techniques and concepts: regression analysis, hypothesis testing, data mining, machine learning algorithms and predictive modeling techniquesUnderstanding of data warehousing architecture and data pipeline development process
Experience with IT service management (ITIL: service request, incident, change, asset/configuration item, knowledge management) preferred.Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively present complex information to non-technical stakeholders.Bilingual in English and Mandarin is a plus but not required.Responsibilities:
Business Requirements Gathering
Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business objectives and requirements.Conduct interviews and workshops to elicit and document business needs.Translate business requirements into data analysis plans and strategies.
Business Process Analysis
Analyze existing business processes and workflows to identify areas for improvement.Conduct gap analyses to identify opportunities for increased efficiency and effectiveness.Make recommendations for process enhancements and optimization.
Data Collection and Processing
Gather and consolidate data from various sources, ensuring data accuracy and integrity.Develop and implement data collection systems and strategiesClean and preprocess data to remove inconsistencies and errorsSupport global data warehousing operation and contribute to data pipeline development process
Data Analysis and Interpretation
Perform in-depth analysis using statistical techniques and toolsIdentify patterns, trends, and relationships in complex data setsPresent findings and insights in a clear and concise manner to non-technical stakeholders
Reporting and Visualization
Create reports and visualizations to communicate data-driven insights effectivelyDevelop dashboards and data visualizations using tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or ExcelMonitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and provide regular updates to relevant teams
Data Modeling and Forecasting
Build and maintain predictive models using statistical and machine learning algorithmsConduct forecasting and trend analysis to support strategic planning and resource allocationEvaluate model performance and make recommendations for improvement
Data Quality and Governance
Ensure data quality and integrity by implementing data governance practicesIdentify data quality issues and collaborate with relevant teams to resolve themEstablish and maintain data documentation and standardization processes
Collaboration and Communication
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and provide analytical supportCommunicate effectively with stakeholders to understand their needs and deliver actionable insightsBridge the gap between technical and non-technical teams by translating technical concepts into business termsStay up to date with industry trends and best practices in business and data analysis
Salary:
$110,000 - $150,000/year based on education and experience level.Benefits:
