We are seeking a Mortgage Advisor to join our Durham Team!

Role Overview:

The Mortgage Advisor will work with delinquent mortgage borrowers to help them retain ownership of their homes and reduce losses for the credit union.

WHAT You'll Do:

Provide case management services to delinquent mortgage borrowers including analysis of borrower's financial situation, budgeting, explanation of mortgage terms and options, analysis of collateral value, review of eligibility for any local or state assistance and general assistance with access to community resourcesMaintain detailed case notes including assessment of borrower, collateral and next action steps.Maintain a minimum of once weekly case contact with all clients under management who are not yet approved for aConduct site visits with borrowers on an as needed basis. Site visits to include borrower and collateral assessment.Assist borrower with resolving servicer issues and navigating the naturally bureaucratic world of servicing and workoutPrepare for and participate in mandatory case management meetings, trainings,Other duties and projects as assignedWHAT You'll Need:

A Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and related experienceBilingual fluency, verbal and written requiredAn understanding of loss mitigation and/or mortgage delinquency concepts desiredAbility to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups and /or individualsMathematical skills including calculating figures and amounts such as discounts,interest, percentages, and ability to apply concepts of basic algebraKnowledge of financial analysis and reporting of financial data preferred

Salary Range: $22.75 - $30.77
