Job Title: Respiratory Therapist Job Specialty: Respiratory Therapy Job Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 19:00-07:00, Nights/Days, Rotating weekends Guaranteed Hours: Not specified Experience: Minimum 1 year of experience License: Required Certifications: Not specified Must-Have: Adult respiratory experience in an acute care setting Job Description: - Perform standard respiratory therapy procedures, including nebulizers, chest physiotherapy, arterial blood gases, ventilator management, inhaled nitric oxide, bronchoscopy assistance, intubation assistance, and transporting patients with mechanical ventilation within the hospital. - Use a variety of equipment, such as GE ventilators, V60 BiPAPs, and Airvo HFNC. - Collaborate effectively with team members in the respiratory therapy department as well as with other hospital disciplines. - Maintain patient care assignments based on volume, typically managing 35-40 cases per shift. - Wear appropriate attire, with olive green tops and black pants as the scrubs color code. - Opportunity to work with new equipment and technology. - Gain experience working with a team of experienced staff and supervisors. - Potential for permanent positions within the unit.
