Location: Lansing, MI Type: Contract Job #11632 Salary: $51.00 - $60.00 Per Hour Apply Now We are on the hunt for a seasoned Business Analyst to join our dynamic Agency Services Application Development and Support team. This team is responsible for supporting a variety of applications for Lifelong Education Advancement and Potential (LEAP), Civil Service, and Civil Rights. The role involves maintaining applications and managing larger projects. We need someone who is familiar with the software development lifecycle as they will be handling work requests to support operational needs for web applications and gathering requirements for project initiatives. This role acts as the bridge between the technical team and the business client, which will be the primary focus for this resource. As a senior role, the selected candidate will exhibit leadership skills including task delegation, effective communication, and comfort in leading requirement meetings with business and technical resources. Key Responsibilities: Conduct meetings with the technical team and business client. Independently lead requirement sessions to gather project specifications. Manage backlog of work items in Azure DevOps. Oversee project tasks, timelines, and communication between business product owner and the development team within the Change Management lifecycle. Monitor sprints and ticket progress in Azure DevOps. Ensure the team adheres to the department's change management policies. Maintain project documentation on the SharePoint Site. Provide management with information such as project status reports and resource demand projections. Required Skills: Experience with complex IT web applications within the past 5 years. Professional office environment experience. Experience as a business analyst supporting a software development project within the past 5 years. Proficiency with MS Office. Experience working as a liaison between the development team and project manager or business client in a software development project. Experience with Azure DevOps. Highly Desired Skills: Knowledge and understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle. Project management skills and knowledge in project management and related methodologies.
