You’ll manage an enterprise litigation docket, engage outside counsel, and collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure compliance with corporate policies and procedures. This role requires strong relationship-building skills, a deep understanding of employment law, and the ability to navigate complex legal landscapes. Reporting directly to the Vice President of Legal Affairs, you will play a pivotal role in guiding the organization through key legal and regulatory challenges, ultimately contributing to its mission and success.We are seeking an Assistant General Counsel to join our dedicated team at Pinnacle Fertility in Scottsdale, AZ. This is a full-time onsite position.RESPONSIBILITIES:Report to the General Counsel and work closely with the legal and compliance teams to provide a wide range of legal services and advice to the organization.Provide legal advice and guidance on employment-related issues, including hiring practices, employment contracts, workplace policies, employee relations, discrimination, harassment, terminations, and compliance with employment laws and regulations.Monitor state and federal legislation, and keep leadership apprised of new legislation or regulations which might impact the business in any way.Assist in the development and implementation of corporate policies and procedures and ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.Assist with enterprise risk management functions in a variety of legal aspects.Assist in investigations.Actively manage an enterprise litigation docket across a range of practice areas.Oversee discovery, settlement, and pre-litigation and litigation processes.Engage and manage outside counsel to efficiently and effectively represent the enterprise.Effectively communicate with insurance adjusters, medical providers, and various business units related to pre-litigation and litigation matters.Work with management and network fertility clinics on a variety of legal matters.Review and negotiate a variety of commercial contracts across the network.Support M&A activities, including due diligence, documentation, and post-transaction integration.Assist and collaborate with other attorneys, compliance teammates, and clinical staff in identifying and resolving general legal matters.Cultivate and maintain key internal stakeholder relationships.POSITION REQUIREMENTS:Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school.6+ years of employment litigation experience, in-house or at a leading law firm.Multi-state experience preferred (especially AZ, CA, WA, OR, IL, OH, NY, VA, GA).License to practice law in the state of Arizona preferred.Strong interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills with attention to detail.Solid background in employment and litigation matters.Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills; effective conflict resolution.Strategic thinker comfortable in fast-paced, complex environments.Collaborative team player ready to contribute wherever needed.COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:$160,000-$200,000 annuallyThe compensation range for this position is between $160,000 - $200,000 per year. Final compensation offers will be determined based on factors such as years of experience, skills, and qualifications. In addition to competitive compensation, we offer a comprehensive benefits package, including healthcare, dental, life, and vision insurance.
