This opportunity entails providing guidance and direction in area of expertise and functional discipline. This position supports the technical aspect of project delivery. Responsible for applying advanced technical methods, techniques, and analyses to provide solutions, make recommendations and resolve issues. Ensures industry and HNTB standards of technical delivery are applied consistently and effectively across projects. Independently applies knowledge and experience in partnership with internal project team members and external client counterparts. Serves as an advisor on complex projects to provide technical solutions to achieve successful delivery.

What You’ll Do:

Utilizes as technical resource in project meetings and project design for area of specialty.

Researches best practices and maintains outside contact with other specialists.

Acts as an internal and external point-of-contact for specialty area(s).

Develops and advises others in related subject matter.

Prepares technical presentations, reports, and analysis in area of specialty.

Interacts regularly with clients at the staff level.

May perform technical reviews for other projects in area of specialty.

Recruits, hires, develops and retains staff, including development of plan for staff reporting, performance and compensation reviews, and succession. Coordinates schedules and approves timecards.

Performs other duties as assigned.

What You’ll Need:

Bachelor's degree in Engineering Technology or related field and 10 years of relevant experience, or

Associate of Science in Drafting or Technical School or related and 12 years of relevant experience, or

In lieu education, 14 years of relevant experience

What We Prefer:

Bachelor's degree in Drafting technology or related discipline

10 years related experience

Microstation and/or Autocad

Civil 3D and/or OpenRoads and OpenRail

The approximate pay range for Los Angeles Metro Area and Orange County, CA is $105,071.01 - $164,341.84. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Actual compensation will be dependent on factors, including but not limited to, the individual’s qualifications, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities as well as physical work location within the state.
