NCR VOYIX has earned the trust of businesses large and small — from the best-known brands around the world to your local favorite around the corner.Title: Global Contracts Chief Counsel – NAMERLocation: Atlanta, GAThe Global Contracts Chief Counsel works in a dynamic and collegial team of attorneys and contract managers. This position provides support for strategic initiatives of new customer sales engagements. Responsibilities will include drafting and negotiating contracts, including software license, cloud services, and technology agreements; advising executive management on legal issues; building a trusted advisor relationship with the business teams; and identifying preventative solutions to avoid legal risks. To be considered, you must have a JD from a well-regarded university with a minimum of 12 years’ legal experience in commercial/transactional law, with at least five years in the technology sector, with strong general business law knowledge.Key Areas of Responsibility:Negotiate, draft, and review sales, services, licensing, and related agreements, either individually or working with other contract professionals or specialist attorneys;Exercise judgment in advising business clients on contract interpretation and other matters;Provide issue-focused legal guidance to contract managers on an escalation basis;Advise executive management with respect to legal risks and provide appropriate mitigation strategies;Analyze and interpret law, rulings, and regulations that affect the business and provide practical advice in response;Coordinate with outside counsel, as necessary.Requirements:Graduate of a well-regarded law school;Minimum of 12 years’ legal experience in commercial/transactional law, with at least five years in the technology sector – ideally with a mix of law firm and in-house experience;Knowledge of commercial contract laws and practices within the technology industry, ideally in the Retail and/or Restaurant market;Familiarity with privacy law and cybersecurity matters, and how those areas interface with retail and restaurant businesses;Excellent communication skills with the ability to negotiate at high levels;Strong writing skills and attention to detail;Ability to work under short deadlines and outside normal working hours with minimal advance notice and minimal supervision; self-sufficient and independent;Conceptual thinking in complex/completely new situations and ability to communicate ideas both internally and externally;May require 50-75% domestic and international travel;Confidence in client- and customer-facing situations, presenting a positive and professional image; excellent interpersonal skills.EEO StatementNCR is an equal opportunity employer.
