The Intake Coordinator will also provide individual and family therapy services to youth or refer to a therapist who is clinically competent to provide services.The Intake Coordinator will also act as the gatekeeper for youth coming into the behavioral health clinic by referring youth to appropriate services within our continuum of care whether that is within our behavioral clinic or within Canopy's continuum of care.If youth are unable to be served within our continuum the specialist will refer the youth to an outside organization that can provide the needed service(s).The Intake Coordinator is also responsible for ensuring personal billable hours are completed and documented in a timely manner.Job Responsibilities:Ensure that all referrals to our clinic are seen for intake within 7 daysCoordinate with the Clinical Specialist to determine best fit for new intakes.Enroll youth into Canopy's electronic health record systemAssign cases to therapists in Evolv after determining fit.Delegate intakes to available therapists when necessary and as time allows.If youth is inappropriate for this level of care refer to an appropriate level of care with =in 2 business days.Maintain professional licensure.Market as needed in the community to ensure a high volume of referrals.Manage and schedule daily/weekly/monthly calendar for intakes into the clinic.Document in Evolv youth information when information is not correct or missing upon intake.Clinical Responsibilities:Ensure at a minimum 24 hours of direct contact with youth is made per week.Ensure all documentation is completed within organization's timelinesEnsure adherence to organization core values and practice accountability with team members.Assist clinical supervisor and office manager with any reports needed.Treat youth with a primary diagnosis of substance use or similar diagnosis in individual, group, and family sessions.Assists in establishing and maintaining procedures regarding child/youth confidentiality as needed.Ensure high fidelity of the ACRA/ACC and GAIN within the A-IOP (where applicable).Required Qualifications:Master's degree required in Social Work, Counseling, or related field (or higher) and at least two years (2) years of experience working with children with serious emotional disturbance (SED) and their families in an outpatient setting, and a minimum of two (2) years' experience working with intakes in an outpatient setting.Mississippi professional license in mental health field is required (LPC or LCSW). The Intake Coordinator must possess strong organizational skills and be able to work well within a complex system of care.The Intake Coordinator must demonstrate competence in assessment and referral within an integrated system of care to provide services that are closely tailored to youth and family's needs.Must be at least 21 years of age, have a valid Mississippi driver's license, a good driving record, proof of legally appropriate auto liability insurance, and must be willing to use personal vehicle for organization business.Equal Opportunity Employer/Protected Veterans/Individuals with DisabilitiesThe contractor will not discharge or in any other manner discriminate against employees or applicants because they have inquired about, discussed, or disclosed their own pay or the pay of another employee or applicant.
