Job Title: Registered Nurse Job Specialty: Emergency Department Job Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Variable 12-hour shifts; Days/Nights Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week Experience: Typically 2+ years of experience required License: Current State of Alaska Registered Nurse license or must meet education requirement for Alaska State licensure Certifications: - Current BLS for Healthcare Provider CPR or CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer certificate- ACLS- PALS- Emergency Behavior Management Certification (required through TEAM or BERT) Must-Have: - High school diploma or equivalent- Graduate of an accredited professional nursing program - BSN preferred- Clinical competency in primary specialty and a minimum of one float area within one year of attaining Clinical Nurse II status Job Description: - Independently plans and implements routine nursing care in predictable situations using standards.- Demonstrates critical thinking skills and minimal need for supervision.- Assumes basic leadership responsibilities in managing routine and emergency care.- Completes annual educational requirements.- Shifts are varied, typically three 12-hour shifts from 7:00 am to 7:30 pm, or 7:00 pm to 7:30 am, with possible on-call night shifts.- Adheres to the dress code, wearing scrubs (forest green is not permitted).
