The clinical scope of our practice is wide with treatments and techniques including VMAT, SRS, SBRT, DIBH, HDR brachytherapy, LDR brachytherapy, and radiopharmaceuticals.Our Radiation Oncology Department has an opening for a Full-Time Radiation Therapist to join our Team.General Objectives:As a member of the radiation oncology team, administers ionizing radiation for the purpose of treating diseases.Demonstrates a general understanding of anatomy and physiology pathology, medical terminology, oncology, radiobiology, radiation physics, radiation oncology techniques, radiation safety, and the psychosocial aspects of cancer toward the end.Experience:Experience in the area of Radiation Oncology is preferred, but not required. We are considering all levels of experience for this positionMust Haves:Successful completion of a radiation therapy training program, R.T. (T) certification, and maintaining certificationSkills:Working knowledge of radiation safety and current rules and regulations pertaining to radiation therapyAbility to interpret and deliver treatments per plans and relevant treatment protocolsExperience with modern radiation therapy delivery systems, imaging systems and electronic medical recordsExperience with the following techniques required: Breath Hold, SRS and SBRT, Superficial and HDRWorking knowledge of Mosaiq highly preferred; Bilingual (English/Spanish) highly preferred.
