Job Title: Registered Nurse - Telemetry I Job Specialty: Telemetry Job Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Rotating 12 Hours Day/Evening/Night Guaranteed Hours: Information not provided Experience: Minimum 2 years of acute care hospital experience License: Active RN License Certifications: BLS Certification Must-Have: Willingness to float across 8 different units Job Description: - Serve as part of the float pool, providing nursing care across various Med/Surg Tele areas- Responsible for cardiac monitoring, managing cardiac drips, and reading telemetry strips- Monitor telemetry devices including measuring intervals and interpreting strips every 4 hours- Experience with TR Band is necessary- Perform duties with a clinician-to-patient ratio of up to 5:1 during day/evening shifts and up to 6:1 during night shifts- Care includes attending to emergency department border patients, serving as a medication nurse in the acute mental health unit, and providing care for non-vented patients ready for transfer in the ICU- Utilize EMR systems such as EPIC, Omnicell, and Kronos- Maintain flexibility to work on various units with census ranging from 8 to 41 beds Note: This position requires adaptability and the ability to effectively manage care across different units within the hospital.
