Job Title: Registered Nurse - Telemetry I Job Specialty: Telemetry Job Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: 03:00 PM - 11:30 PM Guaranteed Hours: Experience: Minimum of 2 years of acute care hospital experience License: Active Massachusetts RN License Certifications: BLS Must-Have: - Must be willing to float to eight different units- Telemetry monitoring skills, including measurement of intervals and interpretation of strips every 4 hours- Experience with TR Band- Ability to perform cardiac drips and read tele strips Job Description: - Responsible for cardiac monitoring, administering cardiac drips, and reading telemetry strips- Float throughout the hospital to all Med/Surg Tele areas- Care for Emergency Department border patients, serve as a medication nurse in the acute mental health unit, and manage non-ventilated patients who are transfer-ready in the ICU- Work within a clinician-to-patient ratio of up to 5:1 during days and evenings, and up to 6:1 during nights- Bed counts in units range from 8 to 41- Utilize EMR systems such as EPIC, Omnicell, and KronosNote: Orientation hours should be confirmed.
