Executive Assistant to the President/CEO

Provides executive assistance including secretarial and administrative support to the president/CEO.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Plans the clerical work of the president's office to ensure timely submission of reports, studies, letters, and other materials originating in the office.
Collects, prepares, and sorts all materials to be disseminated at committee or directorate meetings.
Maintains databases for committee appointments; coordinates appointment letter responses as needed.
Performs assistant/secretarial duties of a difficult and/or specialized nature for Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated when requested and approved by the president/CEO; particularly manage regional investigation and suspension files including tracking spreadsheet.
Maintains calendar and appointment schedules as required.
Ensures a pleasant and positive experience for Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. members that underscores loyalty and commitment to the organization.
Works together with others toward a common goal. Demonstrates team ability by building trust with colleagues and Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated members.
Leads by example with excellence as the guiding principle. Demonstrates the mental, moral, and physical strength to adhere to higher standards of personal conduct.
Ensures competent outcomes and makes decisions with integrity. Dedicated to deliver goals and objectives in a timely manner while working with all available resources.

Requirements:
High school degree required.
2 years of college successfully completed or 4 years of directly related job experience.
Bachelor’s degree preferred.
High degree of poise, tact, judgement, and superior people skills; ability to perform duties with minimal supervision.
Ability to operate office machines and equipment such as calculator, copiers/printers, and word processing and Microsoft software; strong knowledge of software applications (Outlook, Word, Power Point, and other database applications).
Strong organizational, verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to develop and deliver vision, plans, goals and objectives over a long period of time.
Ability to focus on the members and customers’ needs and delivers on promises with exceptional follow-up.
Capable of anticipating, developing solutions, and reacting before an action occurs.
Willingness and openness to ideas of others.
Demonstrated ability to perform and deliver at the highest level of ability and skills with few variations.
