Head of Investor Relations (1031 Exchange Specialist)

Position Overview

The Head of Investor Relations will lead the company’s communications and relationship-building efforts with investors, focusing specifically on 1031 exchanges. This role involves managing investor inquiries, fostering relationships with key stakeholders, and ensuring the seamless execution of 1031 exchange transactions. The successful candidate will be responsible for crafting clear and transparent investor communications, coordinating financial reporting, and providing strategic insight into tax-deferred real estate investment opportunities. Additionally, this role will collaborate closely with legal, finance, and operations teams to ensure compliance and maximize investor satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

Act as the primary point of contact for investors, addressing questions and concerns related to 1031 exchanges and other investment opportunities.

Oversee all investor communications, including updates on 1031 exchanges, portfolio performance, and tax-deferred investment options.

Manage and streamline the 1031 exchange process, ensuring compliance with IRS regulations and maximizing benefits for investors.

Build and maintain strong relationships with current and potential investors by organizing presentations, roadshows, and educational events.

Develop and present detailed financial reports and investment summaries to stakeholders.

Collaborate with legal, tax, and real estate professionals to ensure proper execution of 1031 exchanges.

Monitor industry trends, tax laws, and market conditions to provide strategic insights and recommendations to investors.

Foster a transparent, investor-first approach, ensuring all communications are accurate, timely, and informative.

Will also qualify for a bonus plan within the first year of employment with the organization.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in finance, business administration, or a related field (Master’s preferred).

Proven experience in investor relations, real estate investment, or financial services, with a focus on 1031 exchanges.

Strong knowledge of 1031 exchange regulations and tax-deferred investment strategies.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to present complex information clearly.

Detail-oriented, with strong organizational and project management skills.

Ability to build and maintain relationships with high-net-worth investors and institutional clients.
