Registered Nurse - Outpatient Clinic @ Barnes-Jewish Hospital Nursing

Job Title: Registered Nurse Job Specialty: Outpatient Infusion Center Job Duration: 12 weeks Shift: Day 4x10-Hour (07:00 - 17:30) Guaranteed Hours: 3 shifts per 13 weeks Experience: Minimum of 5 years License: Missouri or compact nursing license required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, Chemo for Non-Oncology (preferred), Port Certification (preferred) Must-Have: EPIC charting experience Job Description: - Work in the Outpatient Infusion Center providing infusions for non-oncologic diseases.- Administer biologics, Cytoxan, Rituxan, Remicade, Ocrevus, Tysabri, Solumedrol, Orencia, Actemra, Simponi, Benlysta, Cinqair, IVIG, antibiotics, and more.- Collaborate and work within a team of 6-7 nurses to serve 35-45 patients per day.- Operate in pods with two nurses per pod, caring for patients and responding to call lights and alerts from other pods.- Provide top-quality care within a short-term acute care environment.- Follow all facility policies and procedures regarding shift requirements, certifications, and patient care standards.- Participation required every other weekend.- Work on a block schedule is not accommodated.- Must live 75 miles or more from the facility.- Mandatory flu vaccine, with exemptions for medical or religious reasons only.- Compliance with fit testing requirements.- Responsible for ensuring up-to-date records and certifications are maintained.- Required to work 2 out of 3 major holidays during the contract period.Please ensure interest or preferability for a contract longer than 13 weeks is indicated upon application.
