Registered Nurse - NICU @ Miller Childrens and Womens Hospital Long Beach

Job Title: Registered Nurse Job Specialty: NICU Job Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night, 3x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:30) Guaranteed Hours: Not specified Experience: Minimum of 2 years NICU experience required License: California RN License Certifications: BLS and Advanced NRP certifications required Must-Have: - EPIC documentation system experience Job Description: - First-time applicants with over 2 years of NICU experience are welcome.- Floating required to PICU and CTICU units.- Every other weekend or as needed for weekend coverage is required; flexibility is a must.- No on-call requirement.- Skills and competencies required: - NICU III - Phototherapy - Tube feed/gavage - Blood and blood products management - PICC and peripheral line management - Administration of anti-seizure medications, caffeine, and vasopressors - Neonatal abstinence care - Phlebotomy - Bubble CPAP, HFNC, Ventilator management- Pre-approved time off is at the discretion of the manager; must be included at the time of submission.- Flu vaccine required, with medical/religious exemptions only.- Candidates are required to float within the hospital based on census needs.
