POSITION SUMMARY

The IT Support Technician is responsible for assisting the IT Manager with deploying and maintaining all Information Technology equipment throughout PRM. The Technician provides computer support to end users across the organization for computer hardware, software, and other technology equipment, and business-related applications.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONSConfigure technology systems including but not limited to computers, network printers, VoIP phones, cameras, wireless networking equipment, teleconference equipment, and other hardware and software systems,Resolve tickets representing staff, interns, volunteer, and client-generated technical requests or problems and troubleshoot technical and process issues to maintain productivity, escalating to IT Manager as needed.Provide initial guidance and basic training to staff on equipment and software used mission wide.Administer general network, hardware, and software support on-site and remotely for our staff, interns, and clients.Create documentation for various tasks for reference and training purposes.Partner with IT Manager to maintain an inventory of all IT equipment, software, and software licenses.Maintain all IT-supported devices, reaching out to third-party vendors when necessary.Carry out software, hardware, network, and database performance tuning, troubleshooting to resolve issues.Support IT Manager with network and data security, antivirus, and email security by maintaining all servers, firewalls, wireless networking systems, and user accounts.Ensure that all audio-visual equipment works efficiently for PRM events and performs the setup, troubleshooting, and takedown of AV equipment at all venues.Stay updated on new technologies to recommend new tools to improve internal processes.Participate in devotions, prayers or other organization activities that promote a credible Christian witness and lifestyle.Perform other duties within scope as assigned.Requirements

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

High School Diploma required; Associates degree in IT-related field preferredMinimum 1 year of experience working with computer hardware, software installations and troubleshootingExperience and proficiency using Microsoft software and applicationsCOMPETENCIES
