Job Details:

We are actively seeking a dynamic and experienced Staff Accountant to join our team. This exciting role involves working with a diverse portfolio of clients across various industries, providing a range of accounting and financial services. As a Staff Accountant, you will be an integral part of our team, helping to drive financial stability and success for our clients. This position requires a minimum of 5 years of experience in the Accounting + Finance industry, with a strong emphasis on ledger management, entries, and month-end procedures.

Responsibilities:

As a Staff Accountant, your key responsibilities will include:

1. Managing multiple client accounts, ensuring all financial data is up-to-date and accurate.
2. Overseeing and maintaining the general ledger, including reconciling account balances and bank statements, maintaining the chart of accounts, and preparing journal entries.
3. Performing month-end close procedures, including the preparation and posting of journal entries, the completion of balance sheet account reconciliations, and the analysis of account variances.
4. Assisting with the preparation of financial statements and reports, providing insights into financial performance and trends.
5. Collaborating with other team members to improve financial processes and systems, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
6. Providing financial consulting and strategic support to clients, including financial analysis, budgeting and forecasting, and the development of internal control policies and procedures.
7. Responding to client inquiries, providing excellent customer service and building strong client relationships.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate for the Staff Accountant position will have the following qualifications:

1. A minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role within the Accounting + Finance industry.
2. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA or other relevant certification is preferred.
3. Proven experience with ledger management, entries, and month-end close procedures.
4. Strong knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and financial regulations.
5. Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to analyze complex financial data and prepare financial reports, statements, and projections.
6. Strong computer skills, with proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
7. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with clients and team members.
8. Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple client accounts and meet deadlines.
9. A proactive approach, with the ability to identify and resolve problems efficiently.
10. A commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
