A hospital in California is looking for an experienced L/D nurse for a travel contract.The right candidate will have 2 full years of experience, hold an active BLS, ACLS, NRP, AWHONN, and CA License.Job Requirements
Must have 2 full years of experience as an L/D nurse.Must hold an active CA License.Must hold certifications in BLS, ACLS, NRP, AWHONN.C-section experience required: must have experience with circulating, scrubbing preferred.Must have 4 years experience or more in L&D and experience with high risk deliveries.Schedule Information
Shifts are 12 hrs 7-7.Weekend Requirement: Every other.Call Requirement: Call is required - what is required varies, 30 min response time.Holidays: one major and one minor.Unit Specific Information
# L&D Beds: 11 beds.# triage beds: 8 beds.# births per day, per year: 3300 per year.Certs: NRP, BLS, ACLS, Fetal monitoring (advanced) all required.Ratios: they follow AWOHNN guidelines.FHM System: Fetal Link.Pharmacy 24/7: Yes.Floor specific orientation: 3 shifts on unit.Common diagnosis/Types of patients: 20 weeks and above, high risk - blood pressure, multiples, diabetes, no prenatal care, Substance abuse, etc.Additional Details
