This role requires advanced technical knowledge and experience in network and systems operations. The Senior NOC Technician is expected to respond to network incidents, identify issues, and coordinate resolutions in a timely manner while ensuring minimal disruption to services. They also mentor junior technicians and collaborate with other teams to maintain network uptime.Key Responsibilities:Network Monitoring: Continuously monitor network systems, servers, and infrastructure through specialized tools to ensure optimal performance and uptime.Incident Response: Respond quickly to network incidents, alerts, and outages, and troubleshoot issues to minimize downtime.Escalation: Escalate critical issues to senior engineers, management, or vendors as required and coordinate resolution efforts.Troubleshooting: Diagnose network, server, and hardware issues, including routing, switching, firewalls, VPNs, and other infrastructure components.Documentation: Maintain detailed logs of network events, incidents, resolutions, and system performance for future reference.Team Leadership: Provide guidance and mentorship to junior NOC technicians and assist with onboarding and training as needed.Automation & Improvement: Assist in developing scripts or processes to automate routine tasks and improve network efficiency.Collaboration: Work closely with other IT and network teams to address issues, implement changes, and deploy new systems.Reporting: Prepare regular reports on network health, incidents, and performance for senior management.Required Qualifications:Education: Bachelors degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience).Experience: 5+ years of experience in network operations, with at least 2 years in a senior NOC role.Certifications: Certifications such as Cisco CCNA/CCNP, CompTIA Network+, or similar are preferred.Technical Skills:Deep understanding of network protocols (TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, DNS, etc.).Proficiency in monitoring tools such as SolarWinds, Nagios, or Zabbix.Experience with network devices like routers, switches, and firewalls (Cisco, Juniper, etc.).Knowledge of cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure) and virtualization (VMware, Hyper-V).Familiarity with scripting languages (Python, Bash) for automating tasks.Soft Skills:Strong problem-solving abilities.Excellent communication and documentation skills.Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.Leadership and mentoring skills.Preferred Qualifications:Knowledge of NVIDIA reference architecture and design principlesExperience with operational support of GPU based High-Performance ArchitectureExperience with SD-WAN, MPLS, or VPN technologies.Familiarity with ITIL frameworks and processes.Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices and tools.This role is ideal for experienced network professionals who have a deep understanding of network infrastructure and enjoy resolving complex technical issues.
