Material HandlerJob Summary:Responsible for moving, staging and delivering of materials and supplies to the filling, packaging and mixing areas; as well as assist with the loading/unloading of trucks, as necessary. Duties & Essential Job Functions:•Operates a forklift, pallet jack, or other material handling equipment to properly provide workstations with the required materials and remove finished product from the end of production lines.•Once knowledgeable with our product offerings and procedures, will reviews daily schedules and/or pick lists to determine material handling priorities and provide each station with accurate materials and supplies, in a timely manner. Materials include pallets, boxes, cartridges, squeeze tubes, pails, and drums of material.•With product knowledge will assist Packaging Supervisor to ensure accurate output.•Will utilize an ERP scan gun throughout the shift ensuring that items, products and materials are scanned and systematically assigned to their location, each time something is moved. •Will move finished product, unused materials, etc. to the appropriate location. •Assists with trash removal and other material handling activities. •Assists receiving and shipping with the loading and unloading of trucks as well as the placement of materials in multiple warehouses. •May, on occasion, assist machine operators with machine tear downs, cleaning or loading. •Other duties as assigned.•Communicate with other Material Handlers to have required product delivered to desired locations from other building. Qualifications:Experience working as a material handler, loading/unloading trucks or in shipping & receiving. ERP system experience. Experience with and/or licensed powered industrial truck (forklift) operator.Physical Requirements:Frequently lifts and moves up to 30 lbs. on a regular base; occasionally lifts and moves up to 50 lbs. independently and with the assistance of a co-worker and/or tow motor.Frequently moves within the department and within the plant, between multiple buildings. Frequently positions self to work around, finished product when counting, checking, verifying, moving, etc.Frequently climbs on and off of a tow motor, multiple times during their shift.
