Responsibilities of the Director of Accounting:

• Supervise monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statement preparation
• Develop and maintain internal controls to ensure financial integrity
• Annual budgeting, forecasting, and reconciliations
• Month- and Year-end close
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements (e.g., U.S. GAAP)
• Spearhead financial audits and liaise with external auditors to facilitate smooth audit processes
• Prepare reports for management, board meetings, and external stakeholders
• Point-person for external auditors
• Mentor and develop the accounting team, fostering a culture of high performance and continuous improvement

Preferred Qualifications and Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; Master's degree preferred
• CPA (Certified Public Accountant) certification strongly preferred
• Proven experience in a leadership role within accounting, demonstrating the ability to manage and motivate a team effectively
• Proficiency in utilizing financial systems and software to streamline processes
• Excellent analytical skills and a keen eye for detail

Salary

$105,000 - $125,000 depending on experience
