This position will help with financial oversight, ad-hoc reports and provide an exciting mix of day to day operations and forward thinking strategy and analysis!
Accounting Policy Development
- Research emerging accounting issues, document findings, and implement appropriate accounting policies within the portfolio management teams.
Operational Finance
- Handle daily financial operations, including managing accounts payable, accounts receivable, and treasury functions.
Month-End Close Activities
- Oversee the month-end close process, including tasks such as recording, reconciling, and analyzing general ledger accounts to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting for management, investors, and compliance purposes.
Audit and Compliance Support
- Coordinate with external auditors and assist in preparing for annual financial audits and ensuring tax compliance.
Process Optimization
- Identify opportunities to streamline processes, improve system efficiencies, and reduce operational waste by leveraging technology.
Due Diligence Support
- Participate in financial due diligence activities related to the acquisition strategies of our portfolio companies.
Post-Acquisition Integration
- Lead the financial integration efforts for newly acquired companies within the portfolio.
Special Projects
- Take on various ad hoc projects as required to support team objectives.
Qualifications
- CPA designation is preferred but not mandatory.
- A Bachelor's degree in Accounting is preferred.
Experience
- 3-5 years of accounting experience, with at least 2 years in public accounting.
- Solid understanding of U.S. GAAP.
Communication
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey information clearly and professionally across all levels of the organization.
Project Management
- Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and contribute to new initiatives as they arise.
Interpersonal Skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills, with a positive, proactive attitude, a sense of humor, and the ability to engage effectively with colleagues at all levels.
