Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Principal Airworthiness Engineer to join our team at Northrop Grumman. This role will involve working on complex airworthiness certification projects, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and developing innovative solutions to meet customer needs.Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement airworthiness plans and certification strategies for various air vehicle platforms.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.Conduct technical analyses and provide expert advice on airworthiness certification matters.Manage and maintain airworthiness evidence and documentation.Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in a STEM field with 9 years of experience, or Master's degree with 7 years of experience, or PhD with 4 years of experience.Familiarity with MIL-HDBK-516B and -516C.Experience leading the development of airworthiness plans and certification activities.Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance.Preferred Qualifications:
Military aircraft development or modification experience.Ability to initiate airworthiness certification process improvement initiatives.DoD and civil airworthiness experience.Work experience and familiarity with UAS/RPAS.What We Offer:
