QUALITY ENGINEER

SummaryAdvanced Technology Systems Company in Gilbert, AZ is looking for a Quality Engineer/Supplier Quality Engineer to join our team. The Engineer will report to and work directly with the Quality Manager. The Quality Engineer will also be working closely with other departments to successfully support project execution and support a successful company Quality Management System.Essential Responsibilities

Ensure compliance to customer product, process and quality requirementsDevelop, track, trend and report out quality objectives and performance metrics of all phases (Design and Development, Manufacturing, Post Market) of projects in executionPromoting performance improvement throughout the organizationDetermine relevant quality associated training requirements and deliver trainingEstablish a process to communicate items of concern to ManagementEstablish and document QC practices, policies and implementation processes for all assigned projects to include data collection of pre-production, in-production, final quality control inspections, and test of all delivered items.Establish, document and maintain processes to be followed by all team members and maintain artifacts demonstrating the completion of QC processes and controls under assigned projectsMaintain procedures for the identification, segregation and disposition of non-conforming materials, including the control of such materials that do not conform to contract requirements or end user requirements.Perform AS9100 Lead audit activities to include all phases of the audit, from schedule development, planning, execution, to audit and corrective action closeout.Establish, track, trend and maintain post market quality processes and events (Field Incident Reports) according to contract requirements of each projectBe the focal POC for ensuring compliance with Contract requirements for quality and conformance as well as work with the sub-contractors and supplier quality engineers to capture their own processes and ensure these are clearly documented and delivered to the governmentOpen and document necessary Corrective Action/ Preventive Actions for systemic issues and follow through until closure, maintaining all documented evidence of the CAPA closureOpen, investigate and document necessary Supplier Corrective Action/ Preventive Actions for systemic issues and follow through until closure, maintaining all documented evidence of the CAPA closureBuild successful relationships with all departments while supporting their daily needs/requests.Establish and Maintain processes to collect serial number information for all builds during manufacturing as well as be able to work with production and engineering to create finished Inventory checklists for all finished product for DCMA inspection.Prepare for, verify and coordinate DCMA inspections for finished productMaintain the company Equipment Calibration programOther duties, as assigned

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in quality engineering or technical degree preferred3+ years of documented experience in QA and/or QC engineering positionsQE experience in the Aerospace industries preferred, construction experience is a plusAS9100D Internal Certified AuditorExperience in developing audit programs that satisfy contract requirements to Design and Development, Manufacturing and Post Market phases of projects.Must be able to develop Manufacturing QA Processes and Control plans that enable capturing, track and trend QA Metric Data (FPY, Rework, Scrap Percentage, etc.)Must be able to document and maintain Design and Development processes to satisfy contractual requirements.1 + year of hands-on experience of reviewing, tracking, trending and initiating corrective action from Post Market Quality data.3+ years of hands-on experience in Quality Supply Chain ManagementMust have a hands-on approach for testing, including some assembly and disassembly of tested unitsStrong background in Corrective/Preventive Action investigation, verification and closureFamiliarity with Government Contracts, FAR requirements and DOD quality system requirements a plusExtensive background in developing and implementing a quality control processProficient in Microsoft Office, such as Word, Excel, Access, Vizio, Power Point and ProjectMust have previous experience in the review and assessment of quality contractual requirementsMust have a high level of awareness and ability to pay attention to detailMust be a highly motivated self-starter that can fully complete tasks with minimal supervisionMust be able to multi-task to ensure all organizations and processes are quality system compliant.Must be able to read and understand drawings, schematics, wiring diagrams and basic work instructionsU.S. Citizenship is required
